Every Wednesday From 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Open studio sessions with undraped life models, for artists and students of the arts. Monitored by Carol Volz Begley, PSA
Throughout the history of Western Art, drawing the human figure from living models has been considered the most useful tool in developing the skill of draftsmanship.
The purpose of our open session setting is to allow artists the opportunity to study and practice drawing human form in all of its different shapes, ages and ethnicities. Inspirosity provides an array of professional art models, all with considerable experience posing in formal sessions. The models will be presented undraped in various poses over the course of each session.
As Inspirosity is an active display gallery, artists are asked to work in charcoal or graphite only in order to protect the integrity of the exhibition space. No photography of the models will be permitted.
Classes are open to those 18 years of age and older with references, portfolio review, or artist's resume. Special exceptions may be made for serious students of the arts under age 18 that require life studies for their portfolios, with parental permission and an interview conducted by the session monitor.
"Drop In" Rate: $20 | Monthly Rate: $60 ($15 per session)
